Located in the piney woods of East Texas, the Piney Woods Derby will offer all Stoa speech events, Lincoln Douglas, Team Policy, and Parliamentary Debate. Speech and debate event offerings may be subject to change.

Opens Friday, October 14, 9 am, CST
Closes Friday, October 21, 6 pm, CST
No Refunds after registration closes.
All fees must be paid in full by Nov. 1, or competitors may be dropped from events.
This is a Stoa qualifying tournament, and membership in Stoa is required to participate.
Be prepared to enter your Stoa "Affiliate Number" that you will find on the Review and Pay page of your 2021–2022 Stoa Registration or in your Stoa Registration confirmation email.
The Piney Woods Derby will open on Thursday morning, Nov. 10, with 5 rounds of Parli. On the evening of Nov. 10, other debate events will begin. On Nov. 11, speech events will begin.
Speech events will have 2 preliminary rounds, followed by a Finals round. Events without enough competitors to warrant a Finals round will go to a 3rd round.
We are not currently planning to have Junior Events at this tournament.
